PROJECTS

Each year, Savannah Saves the World comes up with a few important projects to undertake.  Sometimes these can be projects that others introduce us to, other times it's projects that we just feel are super important.  Every event and project is designed to allow kids in our community to help others and have a hands on sense of making a difference to those who need it most.  Small Acts, by many hands, make Big Impacts.

People and Pets Together Donation Drop O

Spring and Summer 2018

We kicked off our year with our first Petfood Drive that brought much needed foods to Food Shelves in the Twin Cities.  We put together 45 Birthday Kits this year as well as  had some fun at Feed My Starving Children.

Winter 2017

Because of our donors, we were able to distribute 70 bags of winter supplies, 40 pounds of blankets, 80 pounds of other supplies, funds and more to the VA, Safe Zone, Fostering Love, Soldiers' 6, and Lewis House.  Thanks to everyone who helped 2017 be the biggest year of Small Acts making Big Impacts yet!

Summer 2017

This summer we made birthdays a thing to celebrate again!  With the help of our generous supporters and community donors, we were able to put together kits to help 25 financially challenged families have the chance to celebrate their kid's birthdays.  Cake, decorations and party supplies for each child were distributed to local food shelves in Dakota and Washington Counties.

Winter 2016

Thanks to all our individual and company donors who made it possible to provide 64 bags of supplies to the homeless of St. Paul. We were able to give food, water, personal care, first aid items and more to the people that need it most!

Spring 2016

An amazing anonymous donor gifted us with funds to help the Children at a local Womens and Children's shelter have a little bit of happiness at Easter. With their gift, we were able to make and distribute 20 Easter Baskets. We included candy and toys for different aged kids.

Winter 2015

Minnesota winters are cold, and Christmas can be sad for the homeless.  With the help of MANY donors, we were able to put together bags of personal care items (and touch of Christmas Cheer) to distribute to homeless men and women at St. Paul's Dorothy Day Center. We were able to share 26 packs of supplies like Hats, socks, soap, razors, bandaids and more to people in need.

Winter 2015

Some of our donors for our Care Packages project were SO giving we had extra personal care and feminine supply items.  This enabled us to bring an additional 45 pounds of goods to the women at a local women's shelter.  Soaps, shampoos, razors, perfume and menstrual products really helped the shelter to care for their residents.

Winter 2013

With the help of a few classmates we gathered a few dollars to help buy some toys for children at a local shelter. We made scarves out of fleece remnants so the kids would have something to give to their mothers as well.  Small things to bring a smile at the Holidays.

Ongoing giving

I love to work with Feed My Starving Children!  Kids are welcome to help and it takes so little to make a difference. as Young as 4th grade, I was coordinating my class to spend a day volunteering to feed the hungry in other countries.  You can do it too!
